About Us

Bamboo Bend is a small family-owned licensed nursery specializing in ornamental and timber bamboos. Our plant stock is eclectic and changes regularly. Our current focus is on bamboos for landscaping, windbreaks, and screening.

I have been a gardener all my life, have included organic gardening techniques in my teaching, and have focused on bamboo since the turn of the century.

We are located in southwest Austin, Texas in an area known as Oak Hill. In 2002 we started a bamboo grove in Abita Springs, LA and in 2004 in Bastrop, TX as well. Visits in Austin are by appointment only, so please,

           email  or call Steve (512-301-2929) in advance.

Sales are on site.

I accept cash and checks.

Local delivery is available for an extra charge. 

Planting and care services are also available for an extra charge.
